Design Manager

Our client is a large Contractor based in Central London. This client specialises in large fit out, refurbishment and cut & carve projects ranging in value from £5m - £100m. Due to continued growth they are currently looking for a Design Manager. This is a great opportunity to join a fast paced and exciting company that is working on some outstanding project across the capital.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day design process on the project
• Ensuring that the works are constructed in accordance with the Clients and Developers requirements
• Maintain and update project reporting.
• The ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
• Working day to day along the commercial and site teams
• A strong work ethic allowing you to deliver upon your deadlines.

Experience:

• Architectural or Construction background.
• Previous experience with a Main Contractor or Developer
• An industry applicable qualification.
• Proven track record from similar sector specific organisations.
• Hold valid SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid tickets.
• Knowledge in Commercial Fit Out, refurbishment or cut & carve projects
• Able to work as part of a team
• Previous UK Construction experience.
• Ability to manage the sub-contractors on site
• Strong work ethic
• An excellent communicator.
• Have strong commercial awareness.
• Good IT knowledge
