Role Profile.
The successful candidate will integrate themselves into the Hoare Lea project delivery space and support the project leads, engineers and specialists in the structured delivery of our projects. They will be personable and able to influence in this space as this is a new role for Birmingham and therefore will need to be able to immediately demonstrate the value they bring to the team to aid this integration.

The successful candidates' responsibilities will include:
• Take ownership for the design and project management duties on multiple medium and large scale projects across the MEP and Specialist disciplines.
• Arrange and facilitate project briefings, with the right cultural mindset to achieve the project outcomes.
• Arrange and facilitate internal project communications (huddles, workshops, meeting, social media etc.)
• Arrange and facilitate internal design reviews ensuring compliance with internal QM procedures and processes.
• Undertake internal design programming, agree this with the internal Hoare Lea team and external client/Project lead teams.
• Ensure projects are operating in the digital space appropriately and champion the use of digital tools internally and externally.
• Ensure the internal teams are working within the scope of the appointment.
• Monitor project costs, invoicing against programme/earned value and provide cost predictions to completion. Report to the Directors.
• Implement and manage the change process with associated fees.
• Attend the project team meetings and workshops as appropriate with the project lead and facilitate the HL actions in a timely manner.
• Technically review projects as appropriate and incorporate any necessary comments.
• Collate monthly client reports at a project level for issue.
• Monitor and report on the Hoare Lea design progress against programme through to issue.
• Manage the internal and external design risks assessments in accordance with all QM procedures.
• Ensure projects are audited and technically reviewed to manage our risk

Role Outcomes.
In order for the role to be a success it is important to define the outcomes of what success looks like. The objectives for this are:
• To provide professionalism in our approach to design and project management and our clients' experience in this space.
• Manage our internal processes and design in-line with our appointments.
• All projects issued on time, through the DC, to the right level of quality.
• Have zero non-compliances at project audits.
• Free up time from our current project engineers/leaders.

Candidate Profile.
The candidate will have:
• Experience in construction and the MEP space with an understanding of what Hoare Lea do.
• Have experience in Design and Project Management in Construction with a preference to consultancy.
• Be proficient in IT systems to engage with the tools that Hoare Lea use.
• Be able to work using your own initiative as well as being able to follow direction from the Senior leadership team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be confident and assertive in communicating with people at all levels to enable you to build good working relationships with all those around you - both internally and externally.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential, with a good team spirit.
