Deputy Ward Manager- Aspen- PICU

We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Ward Manager to support the Ward Manager in leading a nursing team. This is a senior role with both clinical and management responsibilities. You'll spend 20% of your time on management duties and oversee a group of staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Act as the named nurse for patients, planning and reviewing care with them and their families.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
- Update and review care plans regularly.
- Handle feedback and complaints professionally.
- Lead and support your team during shifts, including taking charge when required.
- Work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) for holistic care delivery.
- Attend and contribute to meetings and staff supervision.
- Support the professional development of junior staff and act as a preceptor.
- Follow safeguarding protocols and relevant healthcare legislation.
- Comply with medication, safety, and professional standards, including NMC and company policies.
About You:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months' post-registration experience.
- Completed preceptorship and active NMC registration.
- Up-to-date with professional development and NMC guidelines.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Confident in leading teams and managing care priorities.
Experience Required:
- At least 6 months of experience in a mental health care setting.
