As a Deputy Service Manager at NIHCSS you will be supporting the Service Manager and will be responsible for nurturing and inspiring those coming to work for NIHCSS to help ensure we have the best staff team, offering the best support services.

NIHCSS is a partnership with Together and St Martins Housing Trust, both charities that support adults with severe mental health illness. We work with clients to facilitate independent living and believe in a world where anyone with mental health issues can live within their community with the choice and support they need to live their best life possible. As the Deputy Service Manager you will also support the Service Manager to oversee a supported living service.

About the role

Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. You will support the Service Manager to manage and ensure the delivery of the service's key quality and safety priorities by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the supported living service. You will also have delegated responsibility for the direct supervision and line management of a team of support workers. As a senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times.

About you

You will have significant, recent experience of line management/supervision of staff in the field of mental health or social care
You will possess the relevant qualification in the field of housing, social work or similar profession or have the relevant experience
You will need to have knowledge of Housing Legislation and experience of liaising with councils
You will have the ability to lead and manage people and be a role model in all aspects of people leadership, especially performance
If you have the passion for delivering high quality care and support services to people with mental health issues and want to make a difference to enable people to live a more fulfilling and independent life - then this is the role for you!
A full UK driving licence, with access to your own vehicle, is essential for the role.
