We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Deputy Manager to support the leadership of two children's services:
Harwood House: A 3-bedded residential service providing a safe and nurturing environment for children with complex health needs.
Bakers Way Respite Service: A vital service offering respite care to children with complex health needs, giving families the support they need to thrive.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support across both services. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role and contribute to making a real difference in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Supportive Leadership: Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring both services meet and exceed care standards.
Team Collaboration: Help lead, support, and inspire a dedicated team, promoting professional development and a culture of excellence.
Service Quality: Work to ensure the delivery of compassionate, individualised care that addresses the unique needs of children and their families.
Operational Management: Contribute to maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and help ensure smooth service delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop positive relationships with children, families, staff, and external partners to achieve the best possible outcomes.
This role is peripatetic so there would be an expectation to act up as management cover at our other residential services to cover A/L, sickness etc.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
Sleeping In, Weekend Working, Emergency Response are a requirement of this post.
