Deputy Manager - Adult Services

We are looking for a motivated natural leader to support our colleagues and residents as a Deputy Manager within the community.

A day in the life of a Deputy would include:

  • Providing support, guidance and mentoring to staff within the service whether that be with supervisions, 1-2-1 or weekly team briefings
  • Onboarding new starters to ensure they understand the role and are equipped to deliver high quality support
  • Ensuring we have efficient rotas in place to suit the needs of the people we support
  • Maintaining care and support plans are consistent and up to date
  • Ensuring the service operates to budget
  • Setting objectives which are clear, aspirational and achievable for our colleagues and people we support
  • Provide on call support to colleagues on a rota basis
  • Ensuring the home is maintained and liaising with our health and safety and maintenance teams where appropriate

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • NVQ level 3 in social care/management (preferred)
  • Reliability and commitment to delivering best practice
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and report writing skills
  • A readiness to work un-social hours on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in duties in line with service requirements
  • Experience with autism and behaviour that challenges
