Description
Forming a key part of the small Maintenance team, you will be able to put your hand to most tasks; responding to reports of faults and needs for repair across a diverse range of buildings from Grade I Listed Buildings to recently constructed purpose-built accommodation. The role involves working closely with members of the team, as well as supporting other departments in College with ad hoc requests. Occasional work at outlying sites will be required.
The salary range for the role based on full-time hours ( 39 per week ) is GBP 32,108 - GBP 37,338 per annum. Plus an additional allowance of GBP 2,000 pa.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Criteria
- Qualifications - Successful candidates need to hold trade qualifications to City and Guilds / NVQ or equivalent, as well as being up to date with health and safety and COSHH training.
- A full clean driving licence and be able and willing to drive the College vehicle to carry out work duties
- Practical and proven experience in all aspects of maintenance, fault finding and repair works.
- Experience and ability to turn hand to a variety of general maintenance tasks
- Able to work as a member of a team and be self-motivated when working alone.
- Organised and able to work methodically in a safe, clean and tidy manner.
- A working knowledge of the Health and Safety legislation
- Must be flexible and trustworthy, with good communication skills.
- Dedicated and enthusiastic with a 'hands-on' approach and a willingness to take on new responsibilities
- Good level of numeracy and written and spoken English.
- Basic IT skills.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience of working within a multi-function maintenance team and managing others
- PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) trained via Certified Course
