We are seeking a collaborative, curious and forward-thinking Associate Director - Risk Management to join our growing Risk Management team. The role will support the team's mission of embedding operational risk practices into Moody's Analytics (MA's) operating units to strengthen risk maturity and internal controls, without inhibiting innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Help the team move out of a pilot phase and into an operationalization phase by supporting the build-out of an enterprise-wide Operational Risk Management programme: Your first priority is to build a "back bone" to organize plans, activities, stakeholders and materials-put order in place as the ORM program ramps up.
• You will support the creation of best practices, the build out of the programme plan and enable the ability to quickly get and give transparency into status as well as visibility into what is coming next.
• You will be expected to work independently and manage cross-functional projects with stakeholders in various operating units across different time zones; time management and personal organization is critical.
• Stakeholder management and a collaborative spirit is also critical for success in this role; we work with a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of Moody's hierarchy from many different functions-understanding their personal objectives and aligning them to the risk management vision is crucial. You will have formal and informal access to senior leadership and will have the opportunity to be an impact player in a growing company.
• Many projects will be in early stage, resourced by subject matter experts that have built acquired companies and products, and need support transitioning to a large, public company control environment. Our team is often bringing stakeholders from ambiguity to clarity by sharing knowledge, best practices and facilitating productive working sessions.
• A key component for this role is to plan and participate in large, well-organised and remote workshops. You will be expected to be a proficient collaborator and communicator.
• You will be expected to quickly get to speed with complex business processes whilst bringing everyone else on the journey through visualisation (i.e., process maps, whiteboarding sessions, project charters, etc.).
• We have a wide range of tooling available to effectively manage our work and we are looking to expand the toolset. You will be expected to support in the building of best practices and templates for these tools.
• You will have a wide variety of initiatives to work on at any one time and will need to be able to assess and react to prioritisation changes.

Qualifications:
• A Moody's employee at this level would typically have 7+ years experience working in the first line of defence/operational ranks.
• Lean Six Sigma and/or Black Belt certification (preference).
• You have supported the management of enterprise-wide, multi-year programmes and have a experience in risk management, operational excellence and/or audit.
• You've had experience running projects working with a complex stakeholder group and exposure to various project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, etc.
• A natural curiosity for how things work and love to learn
• Enjoy putting order around unstructured situations and are comfortable "filling a blank canvas".
• A passion for collaboration, sharing information, being helpful and understand the importance of teamwork.
• Experience with process mapping and exposure to value chain analysis
• Polished presentation skills (effectively planning for, designing of materials, and delivering)
• Technology-literate candidates would be preferred (no coding experience required but an understanding of concepts would be desirable)
• Knowledge of IT, cyber controls, key regulations, and frameworks (SOC 1 and SOC 2, C5, NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, etc.) would be helpful.
• Experience working for large corporations or in fintech, software or technology companies would be beneficial.
