About The Role

Here are DNA Vetcare, we are ideally looking for someone at the start of their career in facilities management. There will be a strong emphasis initially on keeping track of compliance, chasing suppliers, spreadsheet work and office based support of the Group General & Facilities Manager. This is however a new role in a dynamic and rapidly expanding independent veterinary group, and will develop and evolve in line with the capabilities and interests of the successful applicant.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all building compliance certifications across the portfolio, ensuring all fire, electrical and appliance certificates remain current and that the relevant information is recorded on the CRM system as appropriate
  • Ensuring remedial works identified as part of compliance visits are completed within expected timeframes
  • Providing administrative support to the General & Facilities Manager
  • Escalating health and safety matters to the General & Facilities Manager as appropriate
  • Ensuring preventative maintenance tasks, including servicing programmes are scheduled and completed within specific timeframes and to company standards
  • Day to day liaison with in-house facilities staff and external contractors
  • Liaison with Utilities Suppliers

Requirements:

  • This role would be suited to an individual with a bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field
  • IOSH & NEBOSH preferred (in process or completed).
  • Certification in facilities management (e.g., CFM, FMP) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 1 years experience in a similar position or comparable skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Practical mindset with some DIY experience - although not required as part of the role.
  • Precision and attention to detail
  • Full driving licence, and ideally own ULEZ compliant car
  • Self-motivated and hardworking with drive, ambition and enthusiasm
  • Strong IT skills - literate in internet browsers and Microsoft Office

Salary: £30,000, Depending on Experience

Location: Peckham, London

Start Date: Ideally looking to start around 1st August 2024
