BAM FM is recruiting a Deputy Facilities Manager, based at our site at the East Ayrshire Hospital in Cumnock. Working 40 hours per week 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday - Friday.

Reporting to the on-site Facilities Manager, the role will be responsible for assisting with the smooth delivery of all aspects of the contract. The remit of the contract includes a wide range of hard and soft FM services.

Your mission

• Assisting in the contract aim of achieving full contract compliance, QuEnSH obligations and profitability outcomes.
• Assisting with the management of both the soft and hard service provision.
• Development, management and motivation of the site team
• Management of M&E sub-contractors on site.
• Arrange and control reactive maintenance and repair works.
• Participate in the site "on call rota".
• Carry out duties and roles involving LV and HV electrical processes.
• Carry out duties and roles involving confined spaces control, review and issuing of permits.
• Assisting with the identification of employee learning and development needs to meet company objectives.
• Assisting in the procurement activities including obtaining sub-contractor quotes and the placing of both material and sub-contractor orders in conjunction with the BAM FM commercial department.
• Carry out performance and condition surveys of plant and equipment.
• Ensure the management of the services is carried out in accordance with contract specification, all legislative requirements and BAM FM policies and procedures.
• Duties may vary and therefore the above mentioned responsibilities are not exhaustive.

Who are we looking for?

• Good understanding and experience of FM operations including Hard and Soft Services.
• Knowledge of management of contracts and risk management processes
• Appropriate vocational qualifications in either mechanical and/or controls disciplines, or an electrical HNC level.
• Experience in performing operation and maintenance duties within large office complexes.
• Skill in the use of relevant IT systems
• Experience of working within, motivating and developing a team
• Effective communication skills
• Membership of an appropriate professional body is desirable.
