Detailed job description and main responsibilities
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing evidence and support to ensure successful outcomes and closure of actions.
• Promote adherence to Trust policies, procedures, and governance frameworks within the electrical team.
• Support the development of team members by identifying training needs, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
• Assist in monitoring resource usage and identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and reduction of work-in-progress (WIP).

Education

Essential criteria

  • City & Guilds 2365, 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2 City and Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and NVQ 2356 and AM2 City and Guilds 236/2360 In Electrical Installations part 1&2 City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2018) preferable with A2 amendment.

Desirable criteria

  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Inspection & Testing 2391 or 2394/5

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
