Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Knowledge, skills and experience equivalent to BTEC + NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Services Registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
- In-house management training (or willing to undertake)
- ACPT
Desirable criteria
- Management study days
- CMI level 3 in management or willing to undertake
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good up to date knowledge of medicine use
- Understanding of issues involved in stock control
- Understanding of importance of monitoring quality of service
- Understanding of the need of confidentiality awareness at all times
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Health and Safety at work requirements
Personal Skills
Essential criteria
- Tact and persuasive skills
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to plan and organise on-going service delivery
- Ability to plan and organise on-going training programmes

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
