Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Advanced theoretical & professional knowledge acquired through degree, supplemented by specialist training.
• Expert knowledge of procurement strategy acquired by professional procurement qualification (CIPS) or vocational level 4 plus MBA or equivalent experience.
• Additional specialist knowledge in procurement, project management, financial management.
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.

Desirable criteria

• Leadership qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience

Essential criteria

• Experience in the management of a complex, multi-site portfolio.
• Experience of implementing strategy with evidence of monetary savings and innovative ways of working.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of performance measurement.
• Demonstrable knowledge of risk assessment and contingency planning.

Desirable criteria

• NHS experience.
• Experience of implementing e-commerce processes and systems to suit the needs to the service.
