The role

Carlisle Support Services is looking for a Deputy Contract Manager, you will be joining a strong team of well trained, experienced, and passionate staff who strive to uphold company values and deliver exceptional services to our customers. Use the training provided to follow HSQE and rail critical safety.

Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:

Working with supervisors to ensure all time shifts are rostered accordingly and in line with contracted and agreed hours given to you by the contract manager.

Investigate and work with supervisors to identify causes behind failed duties.

Manage staff performance using company policies and procedures.

Be a contact point for all front-line operatives as required.

Ensure all staff have the relevant training as per there role within the contract.

All new starters are inducted, and all mandatory training is completed by Supervisors within the timeframe set.

Working with supervisors to ensure all vacancies are advertised.

Produce and maintain an audit schedule for all supervisors.

Working with supervisors to understand failures and producing action plans and preventative measures.

Ensure all fleet vehicles allocated to the contract are MOT, Serviced and meet company policy and procedure.

Any vehicle damage logged by operatives or supervisors to be reported and relevant repairs to take place in line with company policy and procedure .

Attend any client meetings requested.

Build and maintain relationships with employees and client.

Visits stations on business need requirements to monitor and maintain service delivery.

Provide data required by Contract Manager.

Produce and provide a report outlining your teams performance for the rail period.

The ideal candidate

Good level of communication.

Ability to work and lead a team.

Ability to be proactive and efficient in approach.

PTS [Personal Track Safety].

Full UK Driving License.

Ability to solve problems and deal with ad hoc challenges.

Ability to work from you own initiative.

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes.

This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
