Deputy Chef Manager

At Elizabeth Court in Caterham, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and a warm, welcoming environment for our residents. We believe that nutritious and delicious meals are a key part of their well-being and happiness. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team and help us deliver high-quality meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Plan menus in collaboration with the care home manager and head chef.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared in a hygienic and safe manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Manage food inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements for elderly residents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for cooking and creating nutritious meals.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications are a plus.
