Due to continued site growth and development, we're thrilled to be looking for a Shift/Department Manager at our state-of-the-art nut processing facility. As a Department Manager at our Produce Site, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of your department, ensuring that our high standards for product quality, food safety, and efficiency are met. Your leadership will be key to driving performance, fostering a productive and engaged team, and contributing to the overall success of our nut processing division.

Shift: Working 5 over 7, late shift 2pm-10pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations within the nut processing department, ensuring efficient production and adherence to strict quality and food safety standards
• Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, set performance targets, review progress, and implement action plans to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain industry-leading standards
• Communication: Effectively communicate goals and ensure alignment with the company's broader objectives
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in the department and implement strategies to drive continuous enhancements in both processes and product quality
• Talent Development: Mentor and develop team members, providing coaching and guidance to foster professional growth.
• Team Engagement: Prioritise colleague welfare, boost attendance, and maintain high levels of team morale and engagement

About You

As well as tons of resilience you must have:

• Experience of a Department Manager/Shift Manager or equivalent
• Experience in a large scale production/warehouse operation, ideally across Food Manufacturing
• The ability to coach and encourage your team and help them explore opportunities to continuously improve how they do their job
• The ability to problem solve, and implement process changes in order to improve operational performance
• Experience of managing budgets and controlling costs
• Strong leadership and coaching skills in order to engage motivate and develop large teams with varying skill sets
