Due to continued site growth and development, we're thrilled to be looking for a Shift/Department Manager at our state-of-the-art nut processing facility. As a Department Manager in our Nut Processing Department, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of your department, ensuring that our high standards for product quality, food safety, and efficiency are met. Your leadership will be key to driving performance, fostering a productive and engaged team, and contributing to the overall success of our nut processing division.

Shift: Working 5 days over 7, flexibility required

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations within the nut processing department, ensuring efficient production and adherence to strict quality and food safety standards
• Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, set performance targets, review progress, and implement action plans to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain industry-leading standards
• Communication: Effectively communicate goals and ensure alignment with the company's broader objectives
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in the nut processing line and implement strategies to drive continuous enhancements in both processes and product quality
• Talent Development: Mentor and develop team members, providing coaching and guidance to foster professional growth.
• Team Engagement: Prioritise colleague welfare, boost attendance, and maintain high levels of team morale and engagement

About You

• Experience: Proven management experience within a large-scale food manufacturing operation ideally with knowledge of the Nut category.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive results through team management.
• Problem Solving: Effective problem-solving abilities with the capacity to make swift, impactful decisions.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and assertiveness to provide clear direction and feedback.
• Work Ethic: A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
• Financial Acumen: Understanding of cost models and budgetary control
