Demand Planning Manager

The Role

The Demand Planning Manager will create a robust demand forecasting tool to project both short- and long-term business needs. This tool will integrate business intelligence and forecast data from all relevant external and internal sources.

Duties Include:

  • Development of a robust demand forecasting tool, which is delivers forecasting for sites sales for short and long term demand.
  • Lead and develop a team, ensuring that there are clear two way communications routes, individuals are able to fulfil their potential, either by formal training, experiential learning or coaching.
  • Monitor attainment vs Forecast and react to findings
  • Work closely with our key customers in creating their forecasts and understand future business plans/ activities.
  • Produce monthly reports to drive continuous improvements and also to support your own and the teams KPIs
  • Create and maintain forecast accuracy reports, monitoring and challenging, when necessary, the forecast vs sales
  • Challenge and manage the assumptions used, learning to improve future forecast performance.
  • Support the business' S&OP process to ensure that there is an aligned view of demand and supply
  • Support the supply planning team with analytical reporting.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated functional knowledge and experience in concepts of Supply Chain, S&OP, and Inventory Planning
  • Have strong analytical skills to develop the Demand Planning process, both weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually to ensure that there is sufficient challenge in the process.
  • Be able to lead a team of Demand Planners to ensure targets are balanced and achieved, recognize strengths in the team and developing them.
  • Relevant working experience in demand planning and/ or a statistical background
  • Experience working with forecasting tools
  • Ability to work in and create a collaborative environment
  • Organised and detail-oriented self-starter being able to meet deadlines
  • Strong excel skills, SAP &/or TXT knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Willingness to undertake additional duties and provide cross-team support as needed.
