DESCRIPTION
Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an analytical, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Demand Planning Lead that can drive innovation and execution in transportation networks. As a member of the EU Amazon Shipping team, you will collaborate with numerous cross-functional stakeholders to build and deliver long term consensus demand plans alongside Network Planning team

Key job responsibilities
Build demand planning models and provide risk analysis based on "what if" scenarios to influence sales strategies and operational constraints
- Lead the monthly executive demand review meeting, ensuring proper escalation of topics as needed, owning scenario analysis with proposals, and driving actions/decisions to completion
- Drive process improvements and automation for demand planning tools to reduce manual data aggregation, increase forecast accuracy, and develop sales dashboards to drive business insights.
- Work cross-functionally with channel forecast owners to understand the latest thinking for customer activity and incorporate risks and opportunities into the demand plan to limit supply liability.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, validate sales inputs, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate sales results for both long and short term demand planning.
-Communicate complex strategies concisely and in succinct written formats to a wide variety of stakeholders for purposes ranging from informing working teams to gaining financial approval from executives.
-Understand Network Planning roadmaps to manage product transitions through the full product life cycle to help manage Event Planning
- Serve as the Key Liaison between channel forecast owners and supply planning to reduce forecast volatility to enable accurate supply planning and efficient supply chain operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant experience in Microsoft Excel, macros a plus
- Experience building statistical data models
- Written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Must be a self-starter with strong strategic influence
- Proven experience in dealing with ambiguous scenarios and fluctuating customer demand
- Demonstrated ability to build new processes and leverage technology to streamline planning processes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BA degree or equivalent experience
- Planning experience in Long Term Demand Planning
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders from Business, Network Planning and Finance
