The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Delivery Manager to join us on the exciting and rewarding path we are taking here at Castle Trust Bank. Having become a fully authorised bank in 2020, we pride ourselves in being a fintech challenger bank, providing specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a variety of customers.

Joining our Product & Change team within our Technology function, you will drive business changes aligned with the strategic project roadmap. You will ensure the successful delivery of programmes and projects within timelines, budgets, and scopes. This role demands leadership, project management, and technical skills to efficiently meet project objectives. This rewarding position offers opportunities to shape and influence change delivery within the organisation.

Key priorities will include:

  • Lead Project Delivery: Oversee project execution to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Collaborate, Engage and Influence: Act as the main contact between the Product and Change team and stakeholders.
  • 3rd Party Engagement: Coordinate with delivery partners and manage dependencies.
  • Inspire Teams: Lead Agile teams, providing guidance and support.
  • Governance: Ensure project governance and timely decision-making.
  • Manage Risks: Track and resolve project risks and issues.
  • Ensure Quality: Implement best practices and conduct quality checks.
  • Drive Agile Practices: Facilitate Agile ceremonies and promote Agile principles.
  • Focus on Outcomes: Align solutions with customer goals for measurable value.

The role will be on a hybrid working arrangement, 3 days a week from our Basingstoke office and the rest of the week from home.

What we are looking for in you...

What is important to us is that you have proven experience in business change/transformation delivery and project management utilising Agile, Waterfall, Kanban or SAFe methodologies, ideally in a regulated financial services setting. You will be familiar with tools such as JIRA and Trello for project delivery, with experience in collaborating with developers, third parties and business owners to solve problems. You will have a natural flair for problem solving to be able to improve systems by designing modifications and recommending controls. You should have relevant Project Management qualifications (such as PMP or PRINCE2) to be successful in this role.

What is also important is that you have strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability in a highly pressurised setting. You will be able to work on multiple projects within project timeframes, often juggling conflicting priorities. You should be passionate about creating solutions with a positive attitude for change, possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills to enable to you to talk and present to a wide range of audiences (both technical and non-technical). You will need to be a team player and appreciate the importance in collaboration, with demonstrable leadership capability with the ability to motivate and manage delivery teams.
