Commercial Services Group is recruiting for a Decarbonisation Solar Project Manager on behalf of LASER, which is part of Commercial Services Group.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + £2,500 per annum car allowance

The Role:

Are you a Project Manager with experience of delivering commercial scale projects involving Solar PV installations? Or have you been involved in roof top solar projects and LED lighting projects? If so, LASER has the ideal role for you.

LASER's Decarbonisation Solar Project Manager will oversee renewable energy installation projects, ensuring client satisfaction is always at the forefront of the projects. This role manages all phases of a capital project, from the initial site survey through to post installation and commissioning, including Solar PV and LED lighting installation projects, ASHPs along with other technologies.
This role is ideal for a highly organised individual who has a keen eye for attention to detail, as you will be wearing many hats and juggling multiple projects, clients, and priorities at once.

You will be joining a wider project team of like-minded professionals, who are passionate about renewable energy and LASER's mission to help public sector organisations to save energy, cut costs and achieve net zero.

Due to the nature of work being carried out, we do require the successful applicant to have a Full UK Driving License and must be willing to travel to customer sites throughout the UK regularly.

Key Duties:

• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of solar PV technologies, including modules, mounting systems, inverters and monitoring systems and the latest installation standards and best practice techniques.
• Manage projects from conception through installation to final commissioning to ensure the highest quality standards are met on time and within budget.
• Ensure application of risk and issue management across the project(s), instigate mitigation actions, identify contingency plans, and manage remedial actions through to conclusion.
• Conduct project meetings and attend programme and portfolio meetings, maintain effective working relationships to deliver high customer satisfaction.
• Agree and Monitor snagging and handover process to ensure full project completion.
• Set and review contractor responsibilities and expectations.

What we need from you:

• Professional qualification in project management, such as APM Project Management Qualification or another recognised qualification
• Experience delivering Solar Projects such as large scale commercial roof top installations with an understanding of the technical requirements to deliver the project.
• A high level of computer literacy and ability to create and use complex spreadsheets or project management software packages.
• Ability to survey large buildings, make accurate records of existing installed lighting and other M&E equipment.
• Experience delivering tight timescale projects.
• Understanding of public sector procurement rules and practice (desirable)
• Full UK Driving licence
