Job Description

Are you a data enthusiast ready to make a significant impact? We are on the lookout for a talented and driven Data Science Manager to join our dynamic Group Data Science team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge data science models that support decision-making, drive automation, and enhance efficiencies within our business. What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and delivering data science solutions using a variety of data sources
  • Leading stakeholder management and issue resolution on project work and leading project delivery and development of junior Data Scientists
  • Identifying, sourcing, and engineering data to support data science activities
  • Visualizing model results and analytical outputs to a high standard
  • Collaborating with other data professionals and business stakeholders
  • Ensuring all work is fully documented and quality assured
  • Providing data science SME support on data processes or initiatives
  • Applying knowledge of machine learning and data science techniques to design effective solutions

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

  • Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, computing science, data science) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in dealing with high volumes of data with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of machine learning techniques
  • Proficiency in coding languages for data manipulation (e.g., SQL) and machine learning model development (e.g., Python, R)
  • Experience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI and Tableau (beneficial but not essential)
  • Experience with cloud native tooling for Azure and AWS (beneficial but not essential)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
