The Data Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that organisational data is accurate, complete, consistent, and fit for its intended use. The role provides leadership on data quality strategy, controls, and continuous improvement, enabling confident decision-making across reporting, analytics, and operational processes.

This role works closely with business, analytics, and technology teams to identify data quality risks, define controls, and drive sustainable improvements at source. It balances robust quality management with pragmatic delivery, ensuring data quality practices are embedded into everyday ways of working rather than treated as reactive fixes.

You will be responsible for
1.Data Quality Strategy & Framework
•Defining and owning the organisation's data quality strategy, framework, and principles.
•Establishing clear expectations for data quality dimensions (e.g. accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).
•Aligning data quality priorities with business-critical outcomes and risks.

2.Data Quality Controls & Monitoring
•Designing and implementing data quality controls, checks, and monitoring approaches.
•Working with data engineering and analytics teams to embed automated quality checks into data pipelines and reporting.
•Defining thresholds, tolerances, and escalation processes for data quality issues.

3.Issue Management & Root Cause Resolution
•Leading investigation and triage of data quality issues impacting business decisions or reporting.
•Identifying root causes and working with data owners and technical teams to resolve issues at source.
•Tracking issues to resolution and preventing recurrence through sustainable fixes.

4.Data Quality Reporting & Insight
•Providing clear visibility of data quality health, trends, and risks to stakeholders.
•Translating technical data quality issues into business impact and prioritised actions.
•Supporting assurance, audit, and governance forums with robust evidence of data quality management.

5.Enablement & Continuous Improvement
•Building capability and awareness of data quality responsibilities across teams.
•Supporting Data Owners and Data Stewards in understanding and improving quality within their domains.
•Continuously improving data quality processes, tooling, and ways of working as data maturity evolves.

You will need
Essential
•Proven experience in data quality, data management, or analytics roles
•Experience designing and embedding data quality controls in complex data environments
•Strong understanding of how data quality impacts reporting, analytics, and decision-making
•Experience working across business, analytics, and technology teams

Desirable
•Experience operating in large or federated organisations
•Experience with automated data quality tooling or monitoring solutions
•Background in data governance or data engineering environments
•Experience supporting audit, risk, or regulatory data assurance
