Job Description
Legal and General's Group Risk function are looking to add a Data Privacy Policy and Assurance Manager to a growing team to support in the definition and delivery of a policy and assurance framework in a changing landscape.
The role will see you evaluating an established suite of standards that support the Group Data Privacy Policy and updating them appropriately, also focusing on developing an assurance framework that aligns to this policy, considering what controls need to be in place and how we can measure against them.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading on the auditing and refreshing of existing Group Data Privacy Standards and documentation to ensure compliance and adherence to Consumer Duty principles
- Communicating and disseminating of the suite of Data Privacy & Protection Standards
- Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure Data Privacy is covered and signposted in other key L&G Group policies and standards e.g. Information Security and IT
- Designing and implementing Data Privacy Assurance operating model
- Establishing and maintaining timely provision of management information and reports relating to assurance activity
- Working closely with other 2nd line stakeholders, producing insightful risk reporting for management, regulator, auditor and client audiences, as required
- Creating and coordinating awareness communications issued by divisions across L&G Group
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Expert knowledge in GDPR and associated data privacy laws
- Good understanding of design and application of risk management frameworks
- DPA/GDPR application within the financial services sector for a large, diverse organisation
- Strong analytical skills and an enquiring mind, with a tenacious approach; accurate with attention to detail and facts
- Ability to communicate and influence clearly and effectively
- Ability to build effective relationships
- Strong organisation skills and drive
