Who You'll Be Working With

You will join the Data Trust Capability in Capgemini's Insights and Data (I&D) business unit. Insights and Data is a global business unit covering Enterprise Data Management, Cloud Platforms, Enterprise Content Management and AI & Analytics.

Our team is one of the largest and most successful Data Management teams in the UK delivering innovative Data Management and Governance thought leadership to our clients.

The Enterprise Data Management provides services on Information Strategy, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Migration and Lifecycle Management.

We help our clients build an enterprise-class data platform that allows them to move ahead in their journey of data and insights. Primarily working with leading software vendors like SAP, Informatica, IBM, Oracle et al, the team are first and foremost Consultants, putting client requirements and industry best practices at the heart of delivery.

The Focus of Your Role

We are seeking a senior Data Management Lead, delivery focused leader who will be responsible for defining and implementing enterprise-wide data governance, quality, and management strategies and systems. This role oversees data lifecycle processes, ensures data integrity, and partners with business and technology teams to drive data-enabled decision-making.

The Data Management Lead will be responsible for:

• Leading large scale data management implementations.
• Leading teams spanning across geographies, independently.
• Leading and supporting business growth and driving innovations.
• Recruitment and management of people into our business.
• Establish, Implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Lead data quality initiatives, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
• Lead definition and implementation of master and reference data processes and support metadata management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data requirements and priorities.
• Provide leadership and direction to data stewards and analysts.
• Oversee data lineage, cataloging, and classification activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy obligations related to data.
• Define and support data architecture and integration initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs on data quality and governance performance.

What You'll Bring

As a Data Management Lead, you will have had over 15+ years extensive experience of the following:

• Working with C-suite executives and senior leaders across diverse industries and the enterprise functional areas.
• Engaging with Business Units, Enabling Functions and Corporate Functions across the organisation to drive a culture of data management excellence.
• Leading Pre-Sales Solution in response to new customer demand supporting business development.
• Leading innovation on cutting edge concepts and drive to new asset creation.
• Managing multi-cultural and large teams, spanning across multiple data management disciplines.
• Establishing excellent interpersonal skills and managing people in the capacity of a people manager.
• Working with AI tools to accelerate the data governance outcomes, help manage the process and assure the validity of AI performance.
• Proven leadership in managing large, distributed teams, with hands-on experience in global delivery environments involving multiple stakeholders.
• Track record of delivering complex data management transformation programmes.
• Strong data domain knowledge across key data areas such as Customer, Product, Vendor, Asset, etc. and a good knowledge of DAMA principles.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and enterprise data practices.
• Experience with data management tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Reltio, IBM, Atacama, etc.).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and data privacy standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in cloud data management platforms such as Informatica, Reltio, Semarchy, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of data modeling and architecture methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional data programs.

Security Clearence: To be successfully appointed to this role, must be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC)clearance.
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
