Job Title: Data Engineer

Salary: From £40,748 per annum

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working on a broad range of projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team whilst driving new operational and customer insights based on data intelligence
  • Help drive our cultural business change, covering a wide range of technical solutions, which depend heavily on data to enable and offer the customer the required capability
  • Apply an analytical mind-set to deliver continual insight to the business
  • Design, develop and optimise efficient ETL data pipelines
  • Administer and monitor ETL batch jobs and support incident resolution and root cause analysis

Your skills and experiences:

  • You will need to hold good ETL /Data engineering experience
  • Strong database and advanced SQL knowledge
  • Good knowledge of data modelling and experience of BI report building
  • Experience of designing and building data pipelines, databases and systems for data analysis and storage
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrable, hands on experience of designing, building and testing reliable and efficient data pipelines for large datasets

The Business Intelligence team:

By joining the team, you will have a unique opportunity to support with the enhancement of our data warehouse and support with our end to end reporting solutions for some of our largest programmes to date. You will be helping to drive cultural business changes whilst driving some of our key operational and customer changes from a data aspect. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
