Job Description

Working collaboratively with their immediate team, the wider PCR team and project stakeholders around the business, the Data & Products Manager leads the strategy, planning and delivery of data/analytics services across their project portfolio. This includes data analysis, visualisation, modelling, mining, KPI definition and data storytelling in support of the PCR priorities. The role adds data/analytics value, particularly in the Process Improvement arena, by determining the approach, aiding data gathering and informing solution development using a variety of tools. The DPM oversees and assures project deliverables, ensuring focus on business outcomes and benefits, supported by a Data Analyst who leads the delivery.

Success is defined by the definition and delivery of effective data/analytics plans, ensuring the right strategies and products achieve the best project outcomes. Key is proactive engagement with internal and external stakeholders, drawing on best practice from likeminded colleagues and industries, and trialling new tools and products to keep the team's capabilities cutting edge

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver data/analytics services for the PCR Solutions portfolio, integrating with Process Improvement/Business Change initiatives to maximise their effectiveness
  • Effective internal and external stakeholder engagement to understand requirements, inform project scope/delivery and track benefits realisation
  • Seen as the 'go to' person for data/analytics in the PCR team, drawing on all available data sources and passenger/colleague insight, combining datasets to inform projects and drive the right outcomes
  • Oversight and ownership of data models, ensuring timely updates in line with agreed process changes
  • Ownership of analytical products and their roadmaps for the PCR team
  • Timely project delivery maintaining oversight of schedules and risk management, steering of project deliverables and team workload prioritisation, including supplier onboarding and management where required
  • Ensure data/analytical solutions delivered are in line with Heathrow strategies and policies (e.g. GDPR, Heathrow brand, storage) and have a clear business owner

Qualifications

  • Experience in leading and delivering data/analytics projects, with demonstrable application of data/analytics in Process Improvement initiatives
  • Experience in Data Wrangling, Data Visualisation, Data Storytelling, Data Modelling and Data Governance
  • A proven track record of delivery using Business Intelligence tools and techniques (such as PowerBI)
  • Ability to read and review programming scripts (R, Python, DAX, etc.) or a desire to learn
  • Ability to address complex challenges in a structured, logical and analytical manner with recommendations being supported by data and facts, using sound judgement and decision making
  • Strong stakeholder management and communications with an ability to cut through complexity and communicate complex data to analytical and non-analytical audiences
  • Self-starter who can identify data/analytics opportunities to maximise value to the team
  • A commitment to quality deliverables while balancing competing priorities

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience in Minitab, Data Mining, Machine Learning and cloud technologies such as Databricks
  • Experience in agile delivery management and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis tools
  • Airport Operations, Customer Service or Data Strategy experience

Working location

Your contractual place of work will be Heathrow Business Support Centre in Glasgow or Heathrow in London. All roles involve some on-site working each week, so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to work.

We also offer some agile roles, with a combination of home and office working. This is dependent on business need and the individual role and will be confirmed to you.
