About the role

  • Foster a positive team culture, provide line management to one direct report, and collaborate with Group ICT and the wider organisation.
  • Work closely with the UK IT Director & Delivery Manager to develop and implement the UK Data Strategy, driving data maturity across the company.
  • Lead data initiatives by defining key goals, metrics, and analytics strategies, translating business needs into actionable insights, and promoting a data-driven culture.
  • Oversee data governance and quality, ensuring integrity, compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and best practices in data management.
  • Manage the collection, processing, and analysis of large datasets, identifying trends and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and publish dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI, working with business units to define KPIs and deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Oversee data models, pipelines, and ETL processes using technologies like Azure Data Factory, collaborating with Corporate ICT on architecture, storage, and security.
  • Stay current with industry trends to recommend and implement innovative data analytics solutions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for data and analytics needs, presenting findings to stakeholders, including executive leadership, using data-driven storytelling.
  • Manage the analytics project pipeline, balancing short-term requests with long-term strategic initiatives.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or equivalent experience.
  • MS Certifications advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Platform, Tableau).
  • Proficient in data querying (SQL).
  • Understanding of data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load). processes and data modeling.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse).
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and predictive analysis.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a focus on data quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

What can you expect from us in return?

  • £75,000 - £80,000 per annum
  • Generous Annual Leave - Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service
  • 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, Uk remote role with occassional UK travel
