Senior Cyber Strategy and Governance Manager

As Cyber Strategy and Governance Manager, you will provide leadership, strong & simple governance and create an efficient working environment across the global Cyber, Technology Strategy and Technology Assurance function. You will work closely with the Director of the function, support them in complex projects, development of external and internal presentations, reporting and enable effective decision making. This role provides the perfect opportunity to learn how to and help run a CISO organisation.

You will have cyber security experience, so that you can create and develop content with the Director. The role holder facilitates internal communication, and will often research and create exec level presentations, briefs, key notes, announcements, and strategy documentation.

In this role you will bring people and insights together and operate a simple process to define and govern the company-wide Cyber Security strategy.

  • You will build effective relationships between teams, senior leaders, and business functions and forming relationship with all key stakeholders for increased efficiency to help monitor and strategic delivery.
  • The role is designed to make the Director and their leadership team more effective. You will operate simple and clear governance, with good forward planning and attend key leadership team meetings.
  • You will lead the strategy development process on a regular basis and support and drive team strategy, creating plans and key strategic activities to underpin business objectives.
  • Each year you will run an effective Cyber Strategy review process to make sure the strategy stays up to date and track delivery against our five-year ambitions. Help shape impactful cyber security priorities that will cascade across the whole company.

What you'll do

  • You will produce internal and external material (briefings, slides, keynotes), ensuring key messages are tailored to audience and objectives. As an example, Operations Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, internal and external engagements, keynote speeches, market reviews, etc. (presentation materials would include analytical, numerical and business context information). You will actively own the forward planning key internal and external events & engagement.
  • You will manage and track CTAS business objectives and OKRs, providing the right level of visibility and focus is given to top priority objectives and working with the team to put in place action/improvement plans where necessary to make sure goals are met.
  • Effectively collaborate with staff at all levels of the business to acquire information and understand the implications of decisions taken by SLT.
  • Identifying opportunity to maximize efficiency of leadership team's ways of working and provide direction.

Who you are

  • Excellent in communicating and stakeholder management with the ability to build effective relationships and navigate across levels and functions with ease and diplomacy, building trust and confidence.
  • Cyber security knowledge and experience. Passionate about working in Technology and helping drive a continuous improvement and risk reduction mindset, and to be willing to build knowledge and understanding of Cyber to help execute the role well.
  • Strong ability gathering and distilling insights, developing business plans and running effective meetings.
  • Excel at both informal communication and the structure and quantitative analysis into compelling documents for executive level interaction.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, global, and commercial environment and thrive from prioritising high pace and diverse work.
  • Understanding of Cyber Security, Vodafone Entities and Technology structure, op model & stakeholders.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Degree level relevant qualification
  • Proven experience as business manager or relevant role
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
  • Technology and cyber security experience
