About The Role
Reporting into the Chief Information Security Officer, the Cyber Security Technical Manager is responsible for leading Cyber Security Engineering and Identity & Access Management across Motability Operations, shaping our digital footprint across both cloud services and software development to ensure secure delivery.
Additionally the role serves as the principal for providing security consultancy across several programmes, from secure design and requirements setting, through to security testing and sign-off.
The Cyber Security Technical Manager also serves as the senior technical security authority, working with other managers and functions to ensure security principles are reflected in all practices. Significant focus will be on building strong relationships with stakeholders and influencing positive security outcomes, while maintaining the speed of delivery.
Motability Operations has invested in the principles of secure by design and placing security professionals close to delivery teams. Therefore, a major part of the role will be alignment and line management of the cyber security engineering teams, incorporating nine mixed discipline cyber security professionals across several business areas/programmes.
About You
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about the technical aspects of cyber security, protecting customer data and the ensuring cyber resiliency.
You will have gained hands-on experience successfully influencing the design and implementation of security across identity & access management, cloud infrastructure and software development. As such, you will have expert level knowledge of OWASP and the Cloud Controls Matrix (or similar).
You will be a strong communicator, able to influence teams and programme stakeholders at various levels. The candidate will also have a strong desire to shift security practices and tooling left, giving teams access to early feedback on their work.
This role is most suited to someone who is a self-starter, thrives for quality and makes others better.
Minimum Criteria
- Considerable experience in cyber security; Experience of successfully leading others within a cyber security function.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CISM are advantageous.
- Experience of both securing cloud services and secure development are essential.
- Supplier and stakeholder management experience with the ability to lead and influence business decisions.
