Cyber Security Project Manager

Hybrid Working: 1-2 days per week in either our Guildford or London office with travel to other sites expected at times

Role Description The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with other Information Security (InfoSec) and IT professionals and sponsors to support transformation activities as per board commitment.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to build and maintain relationships and influence key stakeholders, by acting as the interface between InfoSec and the Business. They will also be able to translate InfoSec and IT risk language into business language, with excellent communication skills.

As a Senior Project Manager within the InfoSec Transformation Team, you'll work to keep Allianz safe by continuously identifying and mitigating Cyber threats. This could be through implementing new security tools, working with 3rd parties to identify and fix IT vulnerabilities, helping us meet new regulatory InfoSec standard, or assisting with Cyber Security training and awareness campaigns.It would be ideal for the candidate to have InfoSec/Cyber/Regulatory exposure, preferably:

  • Experience working within an InfoSec/Cyber Security environment
  • Experience working with business functions such as Risk, Internal Audit, and IT Governance.

Key Responsibilities Program Management and Delivery

  • Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of cybersecurity transformation initiatives for Cyber Resilience in alignment with UK board commitments and the Group's overall cyber resilience objectives.
  • Drive program delivery by ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget, overcoming obstacles and managing risks effectively.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules and budgets, allocating resources effectively to support the successful execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure that project outcomes meet or exceed defined success criteria and cyber resilience objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure resources are properly allocated and utilised for optimal program delivery.
  • Monitor project milestones, deliverables and dependencies to ensure timely and successful completion of initiatives.

Project Tracking and Reporting

  • Establish and maintain project tracking systems and dashboards to monitor the status of all ongoing cybersecurity transformation projects.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, progress, risks and outcomes to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in all aspects of project execution.
  • Ensure project outcomes meet the cyber resilience objectives that the projects are set out to achieve.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity transformation-related projects and initiatives.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation, including IT, business and finance, to ensure alignment and support for cybersecurity transformation initiatives.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders across Ops and IT, navigating varying priorities, cultures and requirements to drive consensus and foster collaboration.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies and best practices in cybersecurity and project management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity processes, tools and methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and implement new approaches to enhance the cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Coordinate the evaluation and recommendation of appropriate cybersecurity technologies, tools, and solutions.

Experience

  • Project Management technical skills including organisation, governance, estimation, planning, scheduling, tracking, reporting and risk/issue management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Possesses an in-depth and holistic comprehension of cybersecurity spanning people, processes and technology, recognising the alignment of cybersecurity with broader business goals and organisational culture.
  • Experience in Cyber Security consulting, with a proven history of contributing valuable insights to projects.
  • Proven track record of leading successful cyber risk transformation initiatives within complex organisations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Management or Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or another related field - Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Good to have:

- Relevant cyber security certifications, e.g. CISSP, CRISC, CISM, PMP- Project management certifications such as Prince2, Agile, MSP, MOP or equivalent.
