What you'll do

The Cyber Prevent Senior Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the UK Cyber Prevent Portfolio and the UK Security Monitoring and Analytics domain. This role will sit on the UK Cyber Security Leadership Team and will report directly to the UK Head of Cyber Security.

The Cyber Prevent Senior Manager will be responsible for managing both the Opex and Capex budget on behalf of the HoCS. They will be expected to run the DB process within Cyber, liaising with both Finance and Strategy and Execution teams and provide presentation material for the HoCS for various forums, including Executive Governance.

In this role, you will be leading a diverse team of Project, Programme and Agile Delivery Managers as well as the development, engineering & operations team for the UK SIEM platform.

  • Direct and motivate the cross-functional project team by creating a clear, shared sense of purpose and keeping them informed of all project plans and issues
  • Assist the team with the core skills required to deliver projects effectively including project planning, risk management, change management, financial governance, stakeholder and supplier management
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Governance and Programme Management Senior Manager, members of the Cyber Security Leadership Team and colleagues across Cyber Security.
  • Contribute to dashboard reporting and status updates in relation to Project Delivery milestones and agreed KPI's.
  • Identify and raise Risks & Issues to the Programme / Portfolio / Projects as appropriate
  • Contribute to the analysis and tracking of progress against all CARM control deliveries
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance and assurance of a Long Range Plan / Pipeline of viable projects based on robust cost / benefit analysis.
  • Understand the impact of de-scoped / deferred project deliverables and factor into the Technology Security Strategy or Corporate Risk Register
  • Set strategic direction for UK SIEM platform and Manage the delivery of operations.

Who you are

  • Experience in the technology, security or telecommunications industry
  • Knowledge of SIEM/SOA
  • Strong analytical skills, combined with business judgment and ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Strategy & Planning skills

  • Strong business and financial acumen.
