The Saga Cruise Marketing team are seeking an expert Marketing Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for one of our exceptional colleagues. This is a big role to play in our fast paced, multi-channel function.

You will be joining a high performing team, reporting directly to the Head of Cruise Marketing and working closely with our Cruise Marketing Director, Head of Digital and Head of CRM.

Your key area of focus will be a 6 figure marketing budget for ATL campaigns, so even though we may only have you for the 12 months cover, we hope this role and our brand will truly be of benefit for your career advancement at the end of the contract.

*You will be required to visit the Ashford Hub three times a week, the rest of the week you can work from home. You must be within a reasonable commuting distance to attend our Kent based hub.

Role Responsibility

As the Cruise Customer Growth Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our marketing communications across all channels.

You will support the Head of Cruise Marketing and Marketing Director by:

  • Orchestrating the planning and delivery of cross-channel marketing campaigns in line with the season cruise calendar.
  • Create marketing plans to deliver our Ocean Cruise targets - Gross Pax, Gross Rev
  • Facilitating the Campaign Delivery Process across all relevant Marketing teams and stakeholders.
  • Planning and executing ATL media plans, including briefing the media agency, managing plans and budgets.
  • Managing PR - and the relationship with our PR consultant
  • Reporting on performance, including the coordination of weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Being the point person to know what is going on with performance, understand how individual channels are performing and to own mitigation plans when required.
  • Leading projects from ideation through to delivery.
  • Oversee the creative process, managing creatives from brief to execution.
  • Be the Marketing Representative on ESG Committee. (monthly attendance and action plans)

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a well-seasoned marcomms professional and have already been a credible Marketing Manager for a customer focussed luxury product. You can also demonstrate the following skills and experience;

  • Marketing Communications experience 5 years +
  • Experience of managing a large marketing budget
  • A meticulous project manager and strong communicator - able to bring teams together to meet goals, and report on performance confidently to key stakeholders
  • Used to working as a team and building solid working relationships across the marketing team and with external agencies/partners - collaboration is paramount
  • You will be a self-starter who is able to create solutions and not wait for a brief.
  • Experience in omni-channel planning and delivery to deadlines
  • Knowledge of the industry's latest trends with proven experience in applying insights to improve business performance.
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Strong growth and performance mentality, innovating and exploring new opportunities beyond the default approach
  • Leadership/management experience, also have previously managed a small team

Desirable:

  • Career experience in a large consumer-facing organisation, ideally in the travel sector
