This brand-new Culture and Organisational Development Manager role will own and oversee our proposition, ensuring we're firmly future focused and meeting the needs of the business.
As the Culture and Organisational Development Leader at NFU Mutual, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our organisational culture. Working closely with business leaders and executives you'll support the development of a compelling culture narrative that aligns with our purpose, values, and strategic priorities. In this role, you'll lead the development of a comprehensive culture and organisational development strategy, ensuring that our HR policies, performance management systems, and competency frameworks all support a thriving, engaged workforce.
You'll consult with leaders on performance, organisational and leadership matters, and lead the team in providing tools, resources and frameworks to assist divisions and the Strategic HRBPs to ensure their initiatives align with the overall strategy and goals of the organisation, steering the organisation to adopt and embed aligned, consistent practices and principles and provide support for strategic decision making.
As a key member of the leadership team, you'll understand the importance of technology in effective talent management and performance, to help to identify the best technology solutions to enable effective talent and leadership development, career progression, and high performance across the business. With a continuous focus on refining our strategies to adapt to evolving business needs, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to assess organisational effectiveness, drive cultural improvements, and deliver innovative solutions that foster a positive work environment. To succeed you'll need to be passionate about culture, people performance , and making a lasting impact.

About you
You'll bring a wealth of experience in organisational development, with a strong focus on aligning company culture, enhancing performance management, and creating impactful frameworks for colleague and leadership development. Your strong leadership skills allow you to consult and influence senior management effectively, driving change and strategic judgements around talent and organisational growth. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you simplify complex concepts for stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clarity and understanding. Your analytical mindset helps you assess organisational needs and develop strategies grounded in data and evidence.
To join our team, you'll also have:
• A proven track record of developing behaviours, competency, and skills frameworks in line with business and talent strategies in a large complex corporate organisation
• Bring Innovation and creativity
• Deep knowledge of organisational culture and experience in defining, aligning and embedding cultural activities
• Experience of leading a team of subject matter experts
• Strong leadership skills with experience in consulting and influencing senior management on organisational matters.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Talent and Leadership, and Learning Design and Delivery
• Significant experience of having worked in an L&OD capacity
Desirable
• Coaching / Mentoring qualification
• A CIPD qualification at Level 5 or higher / or equivalent
• Psychometric training including but not restricted to Insights, Clifton Strengths, Hogan, 360-degree feedback, and ESCI
