Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Cognitive Stimulation Therapy group will meet once a week for nine weeks and will be led by two members of the memory service team. After the ninth session, there is an opportunity for the group members together with their family members/ friends / carers to learn about the groups activities in an "information session". Outside organisations are also invited to this session so that group members and family members are able to speak with them about groups or services that might be of interest.

Under supervision and guidance from the placement supervisor to perform the following tasks-
• Assist in setting up and packing away for the session.
• Assist in engaging the service users by explaining the activities
• Communicate with service users, supervisor, and other multidisciplinary teams as appropriate.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times in line with Trust policies and procedures
• To support clients to take an active part in activities
• Promote the independence of clients. Encourage clients to take part in activities in so far as they are able to.
• To report to staff any concerns regarding clients attending the group.
