THE JOB ROLE

Reporting to the Head of IT and Security. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Manager to join our dynamic team. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimisation of our IT systems and infrastructure. This hands-on role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems.

Please note this is a hybrid role where you will be required to visit our office in Leatherhead twice a week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Main Duties & Responsibilities :

IT Systems Management

  • Manage and maintain software and services estate, including Microsoft 365 suite, ensuring efficient user management across the organisation
  • Oversee the functionality and performance of IT systems, diagnosing and resolving any issues that arise
  • Implement routine system enhancements based on organisational needs
  • Cost and budget management

Network and Hardware Support

  • Provide broad IT support, including network setup, hardware troubleshooting, and software maintenance for the office
  • Ensure compatibility between systems and manage hardware updates and patch management activities

Inventory Management

  • Oversee and manage the IT inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and in working order

AI Tools and Automation

  • Implement and manage new AI tools and automation processes to improve efficiency and productivity across the organisation

Security and Access Control

  • Oversee and enhance security measures, ensuring systems are protected against intrusions and viruses
  • Oversee user permissions, ensuring secure access to IT services and applications
  • Provide BAU support for Security related operations

User Education and Training

  • Provide training and support to staff on new software installations and IT system changes
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to improve technology usage across the organisation

Backup and Recovery

  • Oversee data backup and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring swift resolution of system failures and data loss incidents

Documentation and Compliance

  • Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems usage, end-user demands, and recurring issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations (ISO and Cyber Essentials)
  • Identify and implement measurable KPIs and monitor progress

Supplier Management

  • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors and ensuring that IT services and products meet organisational needs

ABOUT YOU

The following expertise and experience are required:

  • Leadership and team management - Motivating staff and managing resources efficiently.
  • 5 years' experience in IT or Systems Manager role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite - Certified at Associate or Expert Levels.
  • Knowledge of IT, networks, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
  • Experience with AI tools and automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong change management skills.
  • Strong analytical and integration skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to set and achieve team and personal targets.
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast paced company.
  • Able to work effectively with others in a group and participate in new ideas generation.
  • Desirable certifications - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
