The Data and Technology Manager holds a central role in the CRM, Loyalty and Personalisation Team. It will be supporting the strategic ambition to evolve our CRM Data and Tech to unlock new and best in class customer campaigns and also advocate and champion the strategic aspirations of the CRM team's technology transformations to wider teams in Currys.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Managing strategic projects (both CRM-led and CRM-impacted) - from large-scale platform migrations to small-scale development with existing tech partners and working within cross-functional teams of Marketing, IT, architecture, and data governance
  • Responsible for joining up data and technology compliantly across CRM & Loyalty activities (GDPR and PECR) to support end-to-end personalization initiatives to give relevant omnichannel messaging across email, SMS, website, digital ads and more
  • Owning the ongoing technical management, improvements, and contractual relationships for the several tech partners used in our award-winning CRM team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in close collaboration with the Senior CRM Management team (Data Planning, Retention, Loyalty, Campaigns & Trading) to deliver commercial and customer outcomes that ladder up to the CRM Strategic Vision
  • Support the Currys personalisation strategy, including developing new data connections to extend CRM into omni-channel activations, working collaboratively with wider business teams including stores, online, digital ads and Shop Live
  • Champion the CRM Strategic Framework and vision to the wider business, and increase the role and profile of CRM Data and Tech within the business. Act as the Subject Matter Expert and consultant on data-driven marketing and help others to upskill in CRM Data and tech
  • Be an ambassador for data and technology changes from the wider business (eg architecture, data governance or others) - being consulted through the scoping phase to understand the impact on CRM and remaining active in the projects to ensure final solutions works for everyone

Required Skills & Experience:

  • CRM Data experience such as - data warehouses, Azure and CDPs
  • CRM Platform experience such as - Adobe,. Salesforce, Braze
  • Personalisation Tech Experience - Movable Ink, Phrasee, Taxi4Email CMS
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to drive the agenda with stakeholders at Senior Team level
  • Great analytical ability and a strong understanding of data to apply learnings to drive improvements in campaign delivery and performance (inc. technical knowledge of CRM and analytical systems)
  • At least 6+ years' experience in data marketing/CRM, including email marketing across customer retention, re-engagement and acquisition - working with a sizeable customer database
  • Marketing or business degree level qualification preferred
