About the role

WSO2 is seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager for Sri Lanka to lead and expand our market presence. This position demands a strategic sales leader who can drive growth, build a robust sales pipeline, and guide a high-performing team to achieve ambitious targets.
Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Market Growth: Spearhead initiatives to achieve ambitious revenue goals and expand WSO2's market share in Sri Lanka.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a market-leading sales strategy aligned with WSO2's vision and objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry influencers, and potential clients.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to exceed individual and team quotas, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Sales Processes: Streamline the sales cycle by developing and implementing effective sales processes and best practices.
  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, track competitor activity, and leverage market insights to keep WSO2 on top.
  • Partnership Development: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize key partners. Secure sustainable commercial partnership agreements and develop high-growth business plans for new partnerships.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage a development pipeline, set clear goals, and track progress to ensure targets are met.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to create comprehensive business plans considering timelines and resources.
  • Business Management: Effectively manage strategic and financial growth activities, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement new marketing strategies, monitoring quality control and assurance measures.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring consistent revenue growth.
  • Representation: Serve as an executive spokesperson for WSO2 in Sri Lanka, representing the company in media, analyst briefings, and industry events.
  • Travel: Travel as needed to support business objectives and client engagements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Sales Leadership: Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in B2B software, preferably in enterprise integration and open-source middleware.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Sri Lankan application software market and its unique needs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across all levels.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field.
  • Global Experience: Experience working with a global team, understanding diverse market dynamics.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in a similar role and 15+ years of supervisory experience, including due diligence and financial assessment.
  • Operational Management: Experience in operational management, enterprise go-to-market strategies, and SaaS.
  • Executive Presence: Charismatic, executive-level presence with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate clearly.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial and commercial acumen to drive results, with the ability to quickly grasp new markets and dynamics.

Acquisition Integration: A history of successfully integrating new acquisitions, both financially and operationally.
