Job Title: Finance Assistant (Cost Base)
Location: Rochester.
Salary: Circa £30,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting Month End activities including Inventory analysis, Reconciliations and ERP systems period/annual close
- Engaging and collaborating with the Operations & Project teams to assist in resolving inventory/WIP issues, monitoring WIP Jobs and variance analysis
- Providing accurate Inventory information on a timely basis
- Collaborating seamlessly with the wider cost base team and other stakeholders, ensuring that processes are working effectively and efficiently and improvements are implemented
- Supporting the replacement of our current ERP system
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Reconciliation experience resolving variances & inventory analysis
- Good attention to detail and ability to swiftly analyse numerical data
- Strong Excel & Reporting skills and knowledge of Power BI (or equivalent)
Desirable:
- Cost Base Accounting partially around Inventory Control
- Commenced Professional Qualifications within Accountancy
- Knowledge of ERP Systems (preferably Oracle)

Finance Cost Base Team:
Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller your role will be to provide support to key senior financial and non-financial stakeholders. You will be involved in the preparation of the monthly Inventory accounting, supporting various reconciliations and reporting requirements, ensuring that the business is compliant with mandated policies.
This role is important to the success of the Cost Base and wider finance team, and is perfect for someone who is inquisitive, ready to bring energy, ideas, and to help make improvements and drive positive change.
