Our Corporate Tax team plays a pivotal role across the practice, working closely with colleagues in audit, accounts and advisory to deliver practical, commercially focused tax solutions.
The team advises a broad and varied client base, with a strong focus on owner-managed businesses, alongside larger corporates and complex transactions. From day-to-day corporation tax compliance to EIS, share schemes and transaction support, the work is technically interesting, wide-ranging and rarely routine.

The Role - Making an Impact
We are seeking a qualified Corporate Tax professional to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role offering responsibility for your own client portfolio, exposure to interesting advisory work and the opportunity to play an active role in developing junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for a portfolio of corporate tax clients and proactively delivering high-quality compliance work
- Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns and managing HMRC enquiries
- Reviewing deferred tax calculations, tax reconciliations and tax disclosures for inclusion in statutory accounts
- Maintaining quarterly payments schedules and issuing client reminders
- Responding to client and internal queries relating to tax computations and legislation
- Supporting tax advisory work as it arises, including:
- Preparation of EMI option documentation
- EIS advance assurance applications
- Assisting with tax due diligence projects
- Supporting the training, development and day-to-day supervision of junior team members
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
You'll be a motivated and detail-oriented tax professional with a genuine interest in corporate tax and a desire to continue developing your expertise.
- Ideally ACA or CTA qualified, with experience in corporate tax
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management ability
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and enthusiasm for tax
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- The ability to read, interpret and apply relevant tax legislation
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience using Alphatax would be advantageous.
