Field Based - covering East Midlands/ North East

About the role

As a Corporate Sales Manager in our Mid-Market Channel (typically fleets of 50 - 500), you will take on a classic hunter farmer role. Being responsible for both nurturing and growing c40 existing dual and multi supply existing accounts, in addition to uncovering and winning new business requires specific skills. The ability to maintain existing fleet numbers and identify opportunities to upsell additional products into existing accounts, whilst uncovering new opportunities, targeting organisations with +750 employees, to promote Arval's salary sacrifice offering.

As you seek and identify these opportunities for additional and new business, you'll need to be commercially aware and prepared to collaborate with our Marketing and Consultancy Teams, to coordinate opportunities for business development. In addition, you'll be supported by our Bid and Customer Account Teams, to ensure we deliver the highest level of service quality to our customers.

Once onboarded, your ongoing relationship management skills will be utilised during regular fleet reviews, in a consultative way. As the face of Arval, you will be highly visible to your customers.

Success in this role will be judged on:

  • Retaining fleet position
  • Negotiation of contract renewals
  • Maximising product penetration
  • Upsell of additional products into existing business
  • Success securing new business

In this role you will be based from home. In addition to client visits, you will be required to attend regular meetings in our Swindon Head Office (approximately every 2 weeks for the first 6 months and monthly thereafter or as required).

This includes a basic salary range of up to £55,000 plus additional £20,000 commission opportunity + company car/allowance (£5,500 per annum).

About You

In essence, we are looking for a highly motivated sales professional who is both credible and confident in a 'hunter farmer' role, with clear success selling fleet service solutions specifically into Corporate organisations. Ideally leasing and associated products such as salary sacrifice or accident management, but these could also be vehicle breakdown and telematics services too.

You'll need to demonstrate the ability to operate as a strategic business partner within a corporate environment, developing and maximising your existing portfolio, with proven ability to bring in new business too. Helping customers maximise return from budgets and support them in fulfilling their electrification strategy is vital.

You must be able to build lasting relationships effortlessly whilst taking a long-term view. Customers will quickly welcome you, seeking your support and advice. Whether talking to external customers or internal stakeholders, your natural charm and influencing skills make you instantly likable.

  • Good commercial acumen and strategic vision
  • Experienced selling fleet service solutions into Corporate organisations
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills
  • Expert planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels

Experience in leasing would be fantastic; however, we will consider candidates from outside the industry meeting our specific criteria.
