How does the programme work?

Start date: September 2025.

The Diageo Corporate Relations function is a fully integrated team working across Diageo's society, communications, and government relations agenda. Corporate Relations' role is to protect and promote Diageo's reputation and licence to operate, in service of becoming one of the best performing, most trusted, and respected consumer products companies in the world. It consists of three key teams: The Global Brand and Communications team encompasses internal employee engagement and external communications focused on telling our story, inspiring our people, and building, influencing, and enhancing our reputation. The Government and Policy team focus on all aspects of tax, trade, and regulation across the business while maintaining relationships with multilateral organisations and Trade Associations. The Spirit of Progress team works on all our community empowerment, skills development, and environmental programmes. Their mission is to unlock the power of our business to deliver Diageo's Spirit of Progress goals by creating a more inclusive and sustainable world while protecting our licence to operate and enhancing our licence to grow.

On this two-year rotation programme within Corporate Relations, you'll get to experience two different roles within these teams. You will build your expertise across multiple disciplines including public policy management, government relations, corporate communications, community engagement initiatives, stakeholder management, media relations strategy development, social responsibility programs implementation among others. Through hands-on learning with iconic projects that influence public perception and policy for Diageo globally as well as through formal training sessions and mentoring opportunities you will be inspired to excel while developing critical skills necessary for leadership roles. By the end of the programme you will have a deep understanding of Diageo's operations within Corporate Relations which will empower you to follow various career paths within this vital function at an accelerated pace.

Who are we looking for?

On the qualification side, you'll need to have acquired or be expecting to obtain an academic degree and be graduating by August 2025 or within the last 5 years.

You must be fluent in English and our graduate opportunities require you to be mobile and prepared to relocate geographically during the programme.

We have several graduate opportunities across the business. For the best chance of being successful we recommend applying for one programme as soon as possible. We recruit on a rolling process, meaning that we will close roles when we have received enough applications to fill our 2025 graduate roles.

NB: Pymetrics is the first stage of the application process for all of our Early Career's programmes at Diageo and after completion your result will be used for all applications that require it within a one-year period.
