Corporate Counsel, EU Trade

We are looking for a talented attorney to manage cutting-edge customs and trade legal work in support of our European businesses.

Working with and influencing both external and internal stakeholders, you'll be at the forefront of complex and high-stakes global trade issues affecting current and future business models and technologies.

Key job responsibilities
This lawyer will join a team responsible for providing comprehensive legal and strategic trade advice to Amazon's EU and UK businesses. In this role, you will counsel internal businesses on a broad range of import, export, and other trade regulatory matters, including providing day-to-day guidance on trade regulations, advising on emerging regulatory and enforcement trends, and delivering strategic support to internal businesses navigating an increasingly complex trade environment. You will also work with business, tech, and logistics teams on exciting new products, services, and cross-border business models.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic about technology and delighting customers, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Qualified lawyer with outstanding academic credentials.
- 5+ years of post-admission legal experience.
- Excellent English, both spoken and written.
- Experience with customs, import, and export laws.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with customs authorities and other cross-border regulators.
