Job Description

Nokia is seeking a dynamic and strategic Communications Manager to run executive Communications to Nokia's Chief Communications Officer and strengthen Nokia's corporate messaging and media relations - which encompasses positioning Nokia as an B2B technology innovation leader.

Reporting to Head of corporate external communications, the post holder is responsible of building and executing leadership communication plan as well as collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across the company to build relationships and create compelling content.

The successful candidate is responsible for overseeing, developing and delivering consistent, measurable, strategic and creative communication initiatives both for external and internal audiences.

In addition, the post holder will support Nokia's corporate media relations by providing strategic counsel in strategic communication and storytelling, messaging and thought leadership.

The role is ideal for an exceptionally strong writer who has a passion for creating compelling content, and who is experienced in supporting executive leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead executive Communications to Nokia's Chief Communications Officer. This includes liaising with multiple stakeholders, suggesting strategic approaches, and creating background, briefing, and event materials in multiple formats.
  • Help the team to create materials for various audiences and create communications materials with messaging that clearly articulates Nokia's priorities and business objectives.
  • Identify and support executive engagement opportunities with target audiences, including media, key industry stakeholders, partner organisations and internal Nokia audiences.
  • Serve as a resource across the corporate communications team to ensure message alignment and consistency across various work streams.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the company to ensure strong engagement and activation of communications strategies.
  • Be a creative communicator who isn't afraid to suggest new ideas and be innovative.

Qualifications

  • Around 5+ years of experience in communication - with a strong background in large, fast paced, global organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ideally experience leading or supporting communications for a senior-level leader.
  • Highly organized with rigorous attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Skilled relationship builder who develops strong partnerships across cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Expert at collaborating with/managing public relations agencies and vendors.
  • Proven experience of delivering highly impactful employee engagement communication and media relations and ideally experience from the technology industry.
  • On the pulse of industry best practise, with the ability to translate this into practical plans for both our internal & external audiences.
  • The ability, and pragmatism, to move at pace in a complex communication environment and know where to focus our efforts and resources for maximum impact.
