Key Accountabilities:

  • To manage internal communication channels across the business
  • To support the management of external comms and media relations
  • To manage Quintain's representation at industry conferences and exhibitions

Internal comms:

  • Manage the company intranet, create content to engage and inform staff, and train intranet champions across the business
  • Write, edit and publish the weekly internal newsletter
  • Use internal communications to embed the five company values of Creative, People-First, Pioneering, Sustainable, and Proud across the business
  • Use internal communications to ensure our sustainability pathways and Diversity & Inclusion workstreams are articulated in a way that inspires staff to work towards our shared goals
  • Manage comms programmes for key changes within the business such as software updates, office moves, or new employee programmes

External comms:

  • Update and maintain the corporate website
  • Manage Quintain's programme of speaking opportunities, positioning senior staff as thought-leaders in their respective areas of expertise
  • Manage Quintain's event participation and sponsorship, such as BTRAC, UKREiiF, LREF and BtR Forum
  • Project manage Quintain's programme of award submissions and manage company attendance
  • Manage Quintain Living's B2C PR agency, editing press releases and working closely with the QL team to generate stories
  • Management of Quintain's social media channels and online presence, enhancing our reputation within the industry, amongst local communities, and as an employer brand
  • Support senior team members prior to media interviews and panel opportunities, preparing key messages and arranging media training where required
  • Manage and update Quintain's image and video collections, internally and with relevant agencies. Work with our retained photographer to capture life at Wembley Park and construction updates.
  • Manage corporate memberships including opportunities for staff involvement
  • Work with senior team members to prepare documents such as the annual sustainability report, annual report and bids for new business
  • Work with Quintain's suppliers and contractors to support their marketing initiatives, ensuring Quintain is represented accurately and positively in all communications

General Accountabilities:

  • Undertake additional relevant duties which fall under the general scope of the role, as directed by your Manager, raising any issues with capacity so they can be properly managed.
  • Participate in the full year and half year Performance Development Review process as reviewer and reviewee, meeting the standards and timescales required by the Company.
  • At all times ensure that your understanding and skill level regarding the Company's IT systems are up to date, as applicable to your role. Undertake IT training as required to ensure full and proper use of the available technology.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and align actions with the Company's values: Creative, People-First, Pioneering, Sustainable and Proud.
  • Work within the Company's policies and procedures, governance framework and standards, as detailed on the Company's intranet.
  • Remain knowledgeable about Group activities, benefiting from all forms of internal communication provided and acting as a positive ambassador for the Company at all times.
  • Use materials and resources effectively and efficiently to minimise waste and always consider the impact of potential actions alongside our Sustainability policies and goals before taking business decisions.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

  • IT literate with experience of working within a CMS and intranet
  • At least three years' experience of working with the media either in-house, within a PR agency or as a journalist
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organisational skills
