About the role

As a Proposal Manager at Ekco Security, you will be instrumental in supporting our sales team in achieving their success in the public sector and large enterprise markets. You will specialise in aiding the sales team by creating proposals and supporting bid responses to public RFQs (Request for Quotes) and RFPs (Request for Proposals) that involve sophisticated cyber and cloud security solutions. Your expertise will be pivotal in crafting proposals / bid responses that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our clients, ensuring that Ekco Security is positioned as a leader in the cybersecurity landscape.

Key Skills/Experience Desired:

Proposal Management:

  • Support the preparation of proposals / bid responses for public sector RFQs / RFPs
  • Work closely with the sales and technical teams to develop comprehensive, competitive and compelling proposals / bid responses
  • Ensure timely delivery of proposals / bid responses and adherence to deadlines

Document Preparation and Review:

  • Write, edit, and review proposals / bid response documents, ensuring they are of high quality, well-structured, and persuasive
  • Ensure that all proposals / bid responses comply with the necessary requirements and standards

Systems / Tooling:

  • Support the development and usage of systems / tooling to identify public RFQs (Request for Quotes) / RFPs (Request for Proposals) / Tenders etc and undertake initial qualification
  • Support the development and usage of systems / tooling to deliver the efficient production of proposals and bid responses
  • Develop and maintain a library of collateral / response information for use in the development of proposals and bid responses

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including technical experts, sales, marketing, legal, and finance, to gather necessary information and inputs for proposals and bid responses
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with key internal and external Subject Matter Experts to ensure collateral / response information is accurate and relevant

Feedback and Continuous Improvement:

  • Collate feedback on the quality and success rate of proposals / bid responses
  • Support post-bid reviews to gather feedback and learn from bid outcomes
  • Continuously improve the proposal and bid response processes based on feedback and evolving market needs

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in proposal management, preferably in the cybersecurity or IT sector
  • Strong understanding of public sector bidding processes and enterprise-level sales cycles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with proposal management software
