Corporate and Business Tax Manager in St Albans

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum + Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a portfolio of compliance cases, coordinating with the audit and accounts teams.
• Direct client communication for routine and ad-hoc assignments through email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings.
• Collaborate with clients, third-party professionals, and audit teams to gather information for tax return preparation.
• Prepare and attend client meetings, ensuring all follow-up work is completed efficiently and within budget.
• Review tax returns prepared by junior staff, approving for client distribution.
• Supervise completion of annual employment tax returns, including P11D and ERS forms.

Essential Requirements:

• CTA is required; ACA or ACCA is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years in Corporate and Business Tax within an accountancy practice; international tax experience is desirable.
• Proficiency in Alphatax, Pro-Audit, and CCH document management.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong technical knowledge in corporate and business tax.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build client rapport.
• Experience in staff management and team development.
• Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Working Hours:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
