JPMorgan Chase's Investment Middle Office (IMOS) acts as the Middle Office for our clients across a range of products, including but not limited to Listed Securities, Cash, ETDs, OTCs, Repos, Bank Loans and CFDs

IMOS deals with all stages of the lifecycle for each product from broker matching, management of the client's custodial network, lifecycle events including corporate events, ensuring timely settlement of trades and cash, management of claims and overdrafts, client / regulatory reporting and input into the production of our Investment Book of Record delivery (IBOR).

The role focuses specifically on Investment Middle Office Services (IMOS) Corporate Actions processing. IMOS Asset Servicing is propelling a competitive agenda to enhance operating processes and client experience. In this role, accurate and timely processing of Corporate Actions covering the full lifecycle from Announcement Capture to Payments is expected of you. You will also adhere to firm and departmental procedures and controls as part of your responsibilities.

Job responsibilities

  • Timely resolution of Cash and Stock exceptions; and monitor and resolve daily control checks.
  • Liaising with agent banks and custodians to improve processes and client experience.
  • Ensuring 100% responses are received and sent on Corporate Action elections.
  • Proactively provide support to internal teams including Risk Management and Client Facing teams across regions.
  • Participate during User Acceptance testing phases for any system migrations.
  • Understanding the control environment and ensuring daily checks are completed
  • Working closely with Technology, Product and Operations partners to deliver Change
  • Participating and leading meetings at the operational level on change initiatives impacting Asset Servicing.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Full lifecycle Corporate Actions & processing knowledge
  • Client Service and Middle Office exposure preferred
  • Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations
  • Good understanding of Corporate Actions and Income accounting entries
  • Good experience of Investment Banking Operational areas (Trades, Cash and Reconciliations)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across the various stakeholders including senior business executives

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Strong knowledge of asset servicing (corporate actions & dividends),
  • Knowledge of IM Actions Corporate Actions system, Bancs and Cosmic preferred.
  • Knowledge of project life cycle and its critical control points preferred.
  • Financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction lifecycle preferred.
