About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We're home to the most important conversations happening today and we're making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here's where you can help decide a better future for us all.

What You'll Be Doing

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the management and development of our Bereavement services which include both the Inner North Coroners' service and the Camden Public Mortuary. In this key role, you will ensure compliance with legislative requirements while developing strategies, policies and service plans to deliver outstanding services on behalf of Camden residents and bereaved families.

You will also oversee a broad range of projects, programs and initiatives to enhance the delivery of an equally broad range of services within our Public Safety Division. You will become an integral part of the Public Safety Management team and will influence the sustained development of a best practice-based approach towards the delivery of community safety, emergency planning, public protection and environmental health related services.

All About You

You will have a strong track of record of highly effective project/programme management and an ability to communicate effectively in order to enhance our approach towards the delivery of services in partnership with a range of statutory agencies, internal council departments and community organisations.

You will enjoy working in a dynamic and creative environment which prioritises the needs of residents and communities to deliver high quality front line local services.
