Controls Hardware & Software Programme Manager

We are looking for a Controls Hardware & Software Programme Manager to join our divisional engineering team to ensure the successful project delivery of the right hardware & software solutions.

In this role, you will own and manage the full project lifecycle for a broad range of hardware & software developments projects, working with cross functional teams and with external suppliers and partners. The role covers a broad range of tasks and activities, with focus on running projects efficiently and making effective use of resources to ensure the right solutions are delivered on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Product Managers and R&D teams to generate and refine product requirements, features and improvement requests for an innovative range of control hardware and software solutions.
  • Planning and overseeing activities conducted by inhouse and external development teams to deliver the right solutions, on time and in budget. Owning and managing the complete lifecycle.
  • Conducting supplier assessments, obtaining quotes, and placing orders as required. Liaising with legal team on creation of NDAs, SLAs, master service agreements and similar contracts.
  • Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to identify areas for improvement, escalating risks/issues as required.
  • Identifying roadblocks and proposing solutions to resolve. Facilitating discussions & decisions making sessions with engineering teams.
  • Monitoring, controlling, and reporting key project metrics (quality, cost, schedule etc).
  • Regularly presenting & publishing progress reports at senior level and supporting preparation of key project & governance milestones (including CPR Gate Reviews).
  • Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Ensuring excellent communication flow to all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

  • Full Lifecycle Project Management experience
  • Ability to work on a variety of tasks concurrently.
  • Commercially astute enabling the best overall value to the business to be delivered.
  • Capacity to work cross-functionally in dynamic and international environments, engaging effectively and independently at all levels of the organization.
  • Financial and commercial awareness, good strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

  • University degree in computer science, electronics, system engineering, or equivalent discipline.
  • 3+ years relevant experience as Project Manager.
  • Proficient in English.
